The CCD is Jesuit inspired academic institution established in 2001 with the aim
of harnessing the knowledge of social sciences to the services of Gujarat society,
more specifically its disadvantaged sections – the minorities, the tribals, the
dalits, and women.
It Endeavour’s to conduct relevant, reliable research on a wide range of subjects,
especially, religion, culture, society and development in Gujarat towards building
a humane and just society.
The center’s activities include research, evaluation, training and relevant intervention.
It publishes literature with a activist orientation when required.
